Cavernet Souvignon

Wines offered by J.Miquel Jané are the result of the work performed on the vineyards throughout the whole year in order to obtain an excellent raw material.

The most valued asset in a wine is its individuality. For this reason, it is well known that the more original the soil, the more original the wine is. Some wines originate from individual estates or areas where the soil of the vineyard is completely unique in its composition and texture.

J.Miquel Jané meets this prerequisite in full, as its wines originate from the same vineyards every year, granting them the classification of estate wines.

During the ripening period, our oenologist keeps a daily record of the sugar and acid concentrations in each vineyard to obtain the optimal date for the harvest. In the case of black grapes, a control of the concentration of polyphenols (colour and tannicity) is additionally required. The optimal harvesting time is determined by the type of wine being produced: white, rosé or red, young or crianza wines.

Once the grape has been harvested, it is taken to the cellars located on the same estate. There, the oenologist begins the careful winemaking process.

Just as a master chef never makes two identical dishes, our oenologists never proceed in the same way with each wine and in each year. The result is a unique wine that has its own individual character.
